<head>Historical Note</head>
<p>The Western Massachusetts towns of Dana, Enfield, Greenwich, Prescott, and North Dana were abolished in 1938 to allow the Swift River Valley to be flooded, thereby creating the Quabbin Reservoir to provide Boston with water.</p>
